I think Emmanuel's guitars are real gems . Those who manage to get one will enjoy a magnificent instrument, which they will not want to part with for the rest of their lives.
When people see an Emmanuel Carlucci guitar on the web or advertised on any website, they don't know what kind of instrument they have in front of them.
This is exactly what happened to me, but I let myself be guided once again by my intuition and without testing it, I acquired one...
The surprise was when I opened the case and held it in my hands.
The smell and finishes of the woods in contact with the skin cause very pleasant sensations.
As soon as you put your guitar under your arm and play a few notes, you understand that you have something great in your hands, something that has been built with full awareness of what we do and what we expect from an instrument...
This is only possible when the Luthier is also a guitarist.
And I keep talking about sensations because for many professionals it's not just the sound that counts.
It's at least or rather what you feel. It's like driving a high-end Fiat or Mercedes at 80km per hour.
When I started playing, I was simply HALLUCINATED!
The first thing that impresses is the amount of sound it produces. Bestial ! Volume but a soft sound, full of nuances.
And I know what I'm talking about. I've had guitars from the greatest luthiers in Spain, Mariano Conde, Manuel Bellido... and I've spent a lot of money... up to €7,000 for a single guitar and in total more than 30 have passed through my hands.
It sounded really good , the clarity and volume of the first and second strings for the dives, it's really striking. But what about the low sounds, the sixth and fifth strings? (To my taste a good guitar must have very good bass otherwise it's not worth it. I think it's the hardest thing to get on a guitar).
But again I was pleasantly surprised, the bass was intense, well defined and powerful.
I couldn't believe it... what a guitar I had just bought!
Last but not least, I would like to talk about the comfort and ease with which one moves on the handle with minimal effort due to its ergonomic construction.
For those looking for high-end guitars, I invite you to forget your brand hype for a bit and you will surely be able to find gems like this one.

The advantage of having played many guitars over the last 45 years is that you know what you want and what you don't want anymore!
When I approached Emmanuel, my specifications were well established and, thanks to his experience, his advice and his patience, we are here!
Getting to grips with OUR GUITAR is a real pleasure!
The cedar neck is easy, the Wenge fingerboard is exceptionally comfortable. The head, a nod to a high-end Irish brand, is superb with its veneers on both sides.
What can I say about the format, except that it is compact and has a comfort that I had not experienced before? It is also really at the top thanks to a perfectly integrated armrest…
Compact format, yes, but what a projection ! It's heavy! No worries, you can make yourself heard in session, among banjos, violins, whistles, diatonics... And you can hear yourself thanks to the soundhole ideally placed on the upper side.
So, sending heavy stuff is good, but what sound quality! I wanted deep bass, Emmanuel provided it for me. The cherry on the cake is the bass/mid/treble balance. If we consider that perfection does not exist, well here, we are close to it ! I have never played such a perfect guitar…
Finally, we must also talk about the woods: I am truly delighted to have been able to choose not only the species, but also the appearance of the ebony of the back and sides. As for the linseed oil finish, it is magical ! We almost get the feel of polished raw wood, far from many guitars that look like they have been dipped in a barrel of plasticizer. It is aesthetically magnificent and what a scent!
In conclusion, despite the 1500 kms that separate us and the language barrier, thanks to the incalculable number of emails and photos, Emmanuel, as a true professional, was able to build THE GUITAR that I was looking for and I thank him warmly for that.
